Solution Option 2: Run Diagnostics on Freeway
In the first article we focused on how to re-initialise your Freeway Solution
In this article we explain how to run diagnostics on your Freeway Solution to determine the status of your connectivity. There are some technical aspects to this, however running the diagnostics is very simple.
In your Freeway application, click on the top right-hand menu (icon with the 3 lines).
Select Diagnostics and allow Freeway to run through the process. It may take anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds depending on the status of your connectivity and how you are connected to the internet, i.e., Wi-Fi or Mobile data.
If all connectivity tests are working correctly then you should see 4 green ticks. If the result is a red cross at any point, then this might indicate where the connectivity issue lies.
Common issues could include:
-
Cloud server might be down (ostendo.info) – typically connectivity will restore on its own accord and likely affecting multiple AWS services if this occurs.
- IP Address – this could result if a change to your firewall has been made. For example, the port forward number has been changed. The solution would be to create and enter a new FastCode.
If the result cannot be explained, then best practice is to take a screenshot and send to our support team
