Development-X have released their latest update to Ostendo, version 242.
The below video provides an overview of the changes included in this update (approximate viewing time 10mins).
The latest release sees several changes including:
- Major new functionality with the introduction of Container Tracking
- Job Deliveries
- Tile Control display
- Batch Quality Control
- Item Nutrition Specifications
- Item Shipper Labels
- Various other small bug fixes and enhancements
Container Tracking
The Container Tracking module has been designed primarily for Freeway Picking and Receipting. Container Tracking was designed to give warehouse users the ability to group many individual SKU’s into a ‘container’. That container may itself be within another container and so on. The term 'Container' is a generic term that could refer to shipping container / pallet / outer carton etc.
A detailed load manifest can be generated providing a full list of inventories shipped within a container. A cross contamination matrix provides the ability to specify products which cannot co-exist in the same container preventing product contamination or shipment hazards with mixed products. In the coming weeks we will release a video demonstrating the various functions that can assist your stores team to track containers. If you would like to discuss this functionality further, please contact our team.
Job Deliveries
A new process has been developed to allow for job deliveries to make use of the existing sales delivery process. A job delivery can now be initiated from a deliveries button on the Job screen. Once the delivery has been created, you are able to pick the lines against this delivery and optionally record each item picked into a container.
Tile Control
An alternative to the traditional Workflow, Tile Templates (Collections) allow a Windows style Tile Control User Interface to be used with Ostendo to shortcut to areas both within Ostendo and outside of Ostendo eg: URL Links.
As with any public release from Development-X, update 242 is the latest supported version for Ostendo.
Support for previous versions of Ostendo has been gradually sunsetted over the past year and as such we advise that clients update to the latest version.
